Overview
Saint Paul Parks and Recreation offers musical experiences for all tastes and pleasures. Whether it is band concerts, dance or choral performances or plays and musicals, we have it all. Music in the Parks kicks off on May 16th and performances continue until September 5th. All performances are free except for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening theater style musicals at Como Lakeside Pavilion in July and August.

Como Lakeside Pavilion
The Como Lakeside Pavilion is located in Como Regional Park at 1360 N. Lexington Parkway. All performances are held on the Promenade Deck, a covered open air band shell that seats up to eight hundred guests on park benches. Food service is operated by Black Bear Crossings on the Lake.

Phalen Amphitheatre


A variety of musical entertainment is offered at the Phalen Amphitheater. Please refer to the Music in the Parks brochure for dates/times. The Phalen Amphitheater is located in Phalen Regional Park at 1600 Phalen Drive, just north of the picnic pavilion.

Rice Park
A variety of music including blues, jazz and original compositions is offered at noontime on various Mondays beginning the second Monday in June. Rice Park is located in downtown Saint Paul, at 140 Washington Street, bounded by the Saint Paul Public Library, the Ordway Theater, Landmark Center and the Saint Paul Hotel. A majestic fountain and informal bench and grass seating highlight this beautiful park.

Mears Park
A variety of music including blues, jazz and original compositions is offered at noontime on various Tuesdays beginning the first Tuesday in June. Mears Park is located in downtown Saint Paul, at 366 Sibley Street, just east of Galtier Plaza, this park has a covered band shell, a meandering brook and bench/table seating
